Standing by for Titanfall! 3 Reasons Why I’m Excited For Titanfall
Titanfall launches tomorrow. ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM? Hell. I have been dreaming of Titans, and wall walking, and jumping around buildings like a mad man. I can’t wait to get my paws on this game. I thought I’d share with you these 3 super awesome reasons I can’t wait for Titanfall.
1. I’m over Call of Duty… and so is everyone else.
I say this as kindly as possible. I am OVER Call of Duty! I never ever thought I would hear that coming out of my mouth. Ever. But I’ve said it. I have played CoD since I can remember, competitively and for leisure. I’ve purchased every game, every DLC, and spent countless of hours of my gaming existence in the multiplayer lobbies.
That being said, Call of Duty stopped delivering new and exciting content for me to explore after Modern Warfare 2 came out. I loved MW3, Black Ops, and Black Ops II… I enjoyed playing those games and goofing off with friends. Every so often new DLCs come out and sure, the new maps and game types are awesome– but there is nothing like getting into a new game with a new world to explore, a new story, and a new first person shooter created by those who made Call of Duty. So I am hoping they know what the community has been begging for and implement those ideas and concepts into Titanfall.
2. Out with the old and in with the new– Titans.
I know there are many games out there that you can man a robot and fight to the death. But none of them, NONE of them are like piloting your own Titan. When I played the BETA I expected to start the game out in my Titan, you don’t and you won’t unless you are playing “Last Titan Standing” or they added a special Burn Card after the BETA. When I realized there was a timer and I had to wait for my Titan’s fall, I came to the quick realization that those minutes before your Titan is ready are utterly important to your team and your match. There is a lot that you can do to help your team and create a winning environment before your Titan falls. Activate the right Burn Cards and then go on your merry way killing shit and not dying until your Titan is ready.
3. Interactive NPC’s and Shittttt…
Not sure if you noticed but you can totally shoot down the ships flying by in the game matches. I’m not talking about the drop ship in the Epilogue. I’m talking about the ships zooming by dropping down NPCs like Grunts and Spectres. Also, as I have mentioned in previous posts, I am digging the ability to go up to enemy Spectres and hacking them to become part of your posse. I just dig being able to interact with the surrounding environment and NPCs.
4. Bonus Reason:
Titanfall is not for Playstation consoles.
